The Emperor's New Clothes...

How many times have you thought of this story, in relation to what goes on in the place that you work?

In this insightful tale, due to mis-placed respect, fear, pride or not wanting to stand out from the crowd, the Emperor's people allowed him to walk the streets naked.

It was the voice of a small boy that finally broke in.  A boy who had not had the years of experience which advise you not to stand out in case you get shot down, not to challenge authority and to keep quiet.  In reality his was the voice that highlighted the delusion.

These are the voices that need to be heard in organisational life.  Voices that say 'this is just not working'!
